Once An Eagle, Always An Eagle

This afternoon I went to the Cincinnati Masonic Temple (no dodgy handshakes I promise!), to see a friend receive his Eagle Scout badge.

Eagle Scout is the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouts of America boy scouting programme (it was introduced in 1911). A Scout who attains this rank is called an Eagle Scout or Eagle. The title of Eagle Scout is held for life, thus giving rise to the phrase "Once an Eagle, always an Eagle".

It was an honour to be invited to the ceremony.
