Sharing the Royal British Biscuits

Today we had a Royal wedding.

I brought a celebratory tin of biscuits into work to mark the occassion. They were enjoyed by many!

Embracing Diversity

So I'm an Englishman in the US.

Although not a Royalist, I have made sure that everyone knows I'm from the other side of the pond and that we have a Royal Wedding in 24 hours.

Bring it On!

Last night I ran 21 miles on my own! I needed to do this for two reasons: 1) I didn't think my family would be too impressed if I spent 3+ hours running after just arriving back in the UK and 2) mentally I wanted to achieve the maximum run that the running group were going to do this coming Saturday. Now need to keep my shape and focus on the smaller runs until the BIG day.

Dig the Lights - Only in America

Last night I had dinner with a friend at a local burger joint "Terry's Turf Club".

Although the outside decorations were truly tacky, the quality of the food and choice of UK beer (yes, they have St Peters) was very impressive.

Great evening out. I ate a burger as I needed the energy the night before I run 21 miles!

Oh My!

This morning I completed a 14 mile run with the Bob Roncker's group. Doesn't sound long, but it feels it when you have to run a long steep hill (never thought it was going to end!). Everything was going well until a runner and I got lost, so had to improvise! Managed to see quite a lot of the Kentucky side of the river Ohio. Next milestone is 21 miles!
